One of our local landmarks is Wimpole Hall. It’s a National Trust property with a cafe, a large kids’ play area, a folly, a lake, and a farm. The farm looks like this on the inside:
From the air, it looks very pretty:
The most striking feature is the avenue stretching off to the right in front of the main house. This stretches really quite far – right across the A603 and all the way down to Bassingbourn Barracks.
You just wouldn’t know it from the ground! It’s one of those features which only becomes apparent from the sky.
